BRABUS CLASSICS

BRABUS is home to an entire facility dedicated solely to restoring the beauty of the past on classic automobiles where a specialised team of experts undertake the famous BRABUS Classic 6-Star Restoration process.

The end of this elaborate process sees historically authentic vehicles restored into pieces of automotive artwork in a quality as exceptional as if they had just been pulled from the production line.

The BRABUS Classic 6-Star Restoration:

The process begins with a complete disassembly of the vehicle in the workshop, whereby all parts are indexed and inspected. Those that are unserviceable are discarded, and those deemed suitable for reconditioning are retained and returned to a condition as good as new. Missing, damaged and worn components are replaced with genuine Mercedes-Benz manufactured parts - even the smallest nut, bolt and screw.

All paint is then chemically removed, the engine and transmission overhauled, the interior restored and the body of the car is re-primed. An extensive rust protection treatment is then provided prior to the final paint finish. The Mercedes classic shines once again.

After the BRABUS Classic 6-Star Restoration is complete, the leading experts’ organization for vintage cars – Classic Data, then award the vehicle a Grade A+ certificate. Due to the unique quality of the work carried out, the vehicle is additionally awarded a certificate verifying its ‘new car character’.

Of course, the newly restored classic car also still complies with the requirements of the ‘matching numbers’ principle, meaning that the restored vehicle came off the production line with the exact same engine, transmission, paint and interior colour that it was originally equipped with.
