BRABUS was founded by Bodo Buschmann in 1977 in Bottrop, Germany. After 40 years of development, the company has become a leading name in high-performance aftermarket tuning and now specializes in Mercedes-Benz, Smart and Maybach vehicles.
Derived from a personal desire to customise his own cars, Buschmann decided to begin business after discovering that existing companies could not satisfy his requirements.
In the heart of the Ruhr Valley in Bottrop, the BRABUS headquarters now houses exquisite showrooms, alongside the sales, marketing, administration and production divisions of the globally operating company.
Over four decades, BRABUS has grown into the world’s largest independent automotive tuner with a strong workforce of approximately 450 employees in Germany and 2,500 others located around the world. Following the passing of Bodo in April 2018, the founder’s son Constantin Buschmann began management of the BRABUS GROUP as CEO.
